So much for getting some of my daily scribbles done in the morning this weekend. Today’s Sunday and once again it’s around 9 pm as I begin.
Today was a funny old day, I thought I’d head out early in the morning for a coffee and breakfast, since I hadn’t done it for ages and it seemed like the perfect Sunday morning activity.
But then it was snowing and I started pottering around the house and setting up some photography shots. You must be getting sick of hearing me drone on about jewellery photography at this stage. To be honest, I’m getting fairly sick of it myself so why don’t you all just buy a load of stuff from our website and I can pay a professional to do it for me as I’m starting to go cross-eyed and a little obsessive-compulsive from all the photo-editing plus, more importantly, I could talk about more interesting things here, ya know?!
So anyway one thing led to another and I spent most of the day either photographing or editing, ended up having home-brewed coffee instead. Alex got a packet of 3FE coffee-grind last week and I have to say, although it’s not quite the same thing as living in Dublin and popping into the funky cafe, it’s still damn good coffee.
The one annoying thing with the photography is that it always takes ages and I had planned on getting some blog-posts written (this being one of them). I’ve wanted to write some longer, more in-depth pieces for a while now, I even have one that’s nearly ready to publish. These blog-posts will be mainly for our jewellery business but I’d like to write a couple for my own blog too. Not today however.
I also haven’t done any real exercize in two weeks. I played around for ten minutes today and yesterday, but no long walks or cycling or yoga and I’m getting lazy now because I know the longer it goes the harder it’ll be the first time I head out so I keep putting it off…
If I could just stop going shopping for five minutes maybe I could pay for some fitness classes or join a gym.
Join a gym… go shopping… hmmm…. I wonder which one I should do?
Well heck we all know which one I should do, but we also know it’s gonna be TK Maxx all the way.
Still despite not doing any exercize or writing those blog-posts, I did get a large batch of photographs done (and a few edited already), plus I did two big loads of laundry and I even ate properly too (my brother invited me and the folks over for dinner tonight and cooked plenty veg, roast potatoes and bought in some delicious ready-made stuffed peppers that were, as we’d say in Cork, pure savage like!).
All in all, a good day I would say. Time for the hot water bottle now (an actual bottle since Alex is still in Brighton) and off to my cosy bed with a book. No more phone!!!
Ciao darlings!
