A Better Day (Day 72)

I’m bored.  I don’t feel like writing this today.

I don’t feel like doing anything except eating chocolate and watching TV.

Since the weekend and my period and feeling so down and out, my sweet-tooth has been back in full-force once again and evening sugar fasts are gone.

I’m sure they’ll come back again.  Right now all I’m planning on driving to the nearby garage and getting some chocolate before they close.  I’ve got fifty minutes til then.

In the meantime I need to get this written, reply to two emails and clean up the last few bits in the kitchen.  That’s the deal.  I still need to do the business Instagram post but I don’t mind playing around with that later.

It would probably be better if I didn’t leave it til I’m about to go to sleep like I sometimes do.  Last year I came home from a month in India and had a strict no-phone-in-the-bedroom policy for a while.  I used an old Nokia mobile for an alarm and read books instead of watching Youtube.

It felt amazing.

And yet I gradually slipped back into the old habit of going on the phone in the mornings/evenings.  Not every day but pretty often.

It can’t be good for us.  I’m sure it agitates the body and mind.  I don’t notice it when I’m doing it, but I definitely noticed feeling better last year when I didn’t do it.

I need to buy a little alarm clock.  Using my phone to wake me up makes it easier to have a “quick glance” on Facebook or check my emails.

On another note, today was a lot better than yesterday.  It’d be hard not to beat a day like yesterday of course, but still, it’s nice to acknowledge the good days.  Alex and I went for coffee together in the morning which never normally happens since it means lazy-boy has to get up extra early!  But he sort of promised me yesterday when I was feeling awful and fair play at 8.15 am we headed off together.

Work was easy, I went for a small walk with the dogs once home and then played around with my photo-editing app discovering several new things that just suddenly made my amateur photos look hella professional!

Top it all off with a delicious dinner with Alex and we’re talking a damn good day.  So on that note…

Ciao darlings!
