Cork Girl heads home (Day 70)

I very nearly headed off to bed without doing today’s scribble, I completely forgot!

Given it’s now 11.40 pm, forgive me but I’m not going to write much.  I didn’t leave Dublin til 7 pm and with going out last night and walking all around the city today I’m really tired.

I’m sure I’ll have a nice post to write for you guys tomorrow, where I can share a lot more about my little trip away to Dublin.  It got a lot better than it seemed to be when I wrote yesterday’s post.  And my hotel bed was super cosy and comfy, so I slept like a baby.

I also got to go back to 3FE for brunch this morning (I’m a lady who brunches now, ha!) which was just as delicious as the last time only better because this time I got a milder filter coffee (I love my coffee but theirs is so strong it could pick me up and throw me out of the premises) which went down like liquid gold.

I also got to sit in the park and relax in the mild afternoon sun before meeting an old friend I hadn’t seen in ages and having lunch and a big catch up with her.

Finally I caught the bus home and bumped into a friend from Cork and ended up chatting to her nearly the entire trip.

So what started on a sad and lonely note, ended on a sweet companionable one.  There’s plenty more to share but my head hurts from being tired, a combination of a late night, more alcohol than I’m used to and wandering around the city and travelling home today.

I’m pooped.

So on that note… ciao darlings!
