It’s official, I’m a total doofus.

Having not booked my accommodation for Dublin until around fifteen hours before I was supposed to be arriving into Dublin, I ended up booking somewhere through AirB&B that was pending confirmation yesterday evening.

A little concerned that I still didn’t have a definite place sorted for tonight, I went to bed feeling as heavy and sluggish as a girl can while cramping her way through day one of a period.

By lunch-time today, with my booking still pending confirmation nineteen hours after making it and having severe difficulty in finding anywhere else to stay city center besides dorm rooms with dodgy reviews, I grabbed the chance to stay in Jackson  Court Hotel for just the Saturday night instead.

It sucks because I miss the great concert in the National Concert Hall that I was excited about going to; Sibelius symphony, a Ravel piano concerto and more with the RTE Symphony Orchestra.  I never go to these kinds of things even though I enjoy them.  I  had bought the ticket too (thankfully for just €15).

All because I left things til the last minute.  Again.

Will I ever actually learn??  Maybe I will this time, at least so far as booking a place to stay in Dublin goes.

I’m still paying what I would have spent on two nights at the AirB&B home for just one night.  But on the up-side, I’m way closer to the city center.  But then I don’t get to wander around Dublin tomorrow morning which I’d been really looking forward to.

Regardless, I’m still going to Dublin, even without the snazzy concert and Saturday morning coffee in 3fE.

So at least today, instead of travelling up to the Big Shmoke and listening to classical music, I’m going to get some work done that I otherwise wouldn’t have had time for.  Being productive usually cheers me up so that’s a good thing.

I reckon this is one of the more boring blog-posts since I started these daily scribbles.  Fingers crossed, Dublin will inspire something a tad more interesting from me over the weekend!
