I’ve almost missed day 57 – I mean, technically I have because I’m writing this at midnight on the 27th February, so I didn’t do one for the 26th…
And yet I’m here, tired and sleepy, wishing to go to bed but sitting at the computer writing my daily scribble.
I don’t have much to say and I don’t wish to sit here for a half hour writing some fascinating blog post.
Alex and I headed out for dinner with some new friends and it was a feast of both good food and good conversation. This is what I think we all need more of in our lives, meeting up with like-minded people, sharing great food and nourishing both our minds and our bodies, connecting on a deeper and more personal level than the world of social media/internet (how ironic that I’m writing that here on a blog-post that I will shortly share on Facebook… hmmm…)
The internet and these platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter have an immense value and benefit for society if used wisely.
We need to remember that they are merely a tool and not a way of life.
Life is what happens when you sit in front of another human and share; share thoughts, advice, help, attention, food…. share sadness, giggles, worries…
Share life. We need to share our lives with each other because we need each other. Community is important. We need to return to some of our older generations’ traditions.
We need to return to each other.
And on that note…
Ciao darlings!
