I wish I lived in my own home and could wake early and have the house to myself while my husband slumbered peacefully on, making my morning tea in a silent kitchen and writing in my journal at the table.
I am so grateful to have a warm, comfortable house to call home, with the extra financial space to grow our business and the love and support of my sweet parents.
I wish I had my own dog to cuddle up to when I’m sad (so Alex could take a well deserved break now and then) and my own cat to cuddle up to whenever it allowed me to.
I am so grateful for my parents’ two beautiful dogs that greet me so delightedly and excitedly every time I come home – even if I only ran to the shop five minutes ago.
I wish I had a more interesting social life with groups of friends that would call me up and organize fun brunches together.
I am so grateful for the good kind people in my life that I know I can call on in times of need.
I wish I was fitter and stronger.
I am so grateful for the magnificent strength and energy my body already has.
I wish I could get up each morning and start work in my own little office, living the life of a well-paid writer.
I am so grateful to be able to pay my bills and still have time to get my writing done each evening.
I wish my husband’s business could grow a little faster so we could invest more into creating the professional image and the luxurious gift packaging our gorgeous jewellery so deserves.
I am so grateful that we have the time to invest our energy into this business now to grow it into something special that can reach people all over the world.
I wish I could travel around Europe and explore its quirky beautiful cities and diverse cultures, from the white-washed architecture of the Greek islands to the vast fjords of Scandinavia.
I am so grateful for having been already lived in such amazing places as Paris, Monaco, Valencia and Northern Italy and travelled throughout these three incredible countries, France, Spain and Italy.
I wish I lived in the Mediterranean, in a rustic shuttered French house, with lemon trees growing in the garden and a little boulangerie just minutes walk away where I could buy fresh baguettes each day. I wish I could even just go on a hot sunny holiday there and wander its golden beaches, soaking up the relaxed local vibes, dipping my toes in the refreshing turquoise waters and feeling the soft sand on my bare feet.
For now though, it’s time to stay in cold, wet, grey Ireland and keep on working hard, remembering the precious opportunities and blessings I already have and perhaps someday soon I’ll have earned a few of these wishes of mine…
Ciao darlings!
