Today’s post is definitely going to be short and sweet – I’m pooped once again.
It seems like I talk about being tired a lot lately but then again I’m a waitress in a busy restaurant… might have something to do with it.
Plus I go to bed late after staring at computers, phone screens and tvs for hours on end most days. Might also have something to do with it.
I also don’t necessarily eat the most balanced vegetarian meals (give me a block of cheese and some crackers and that’s me satisfied). Might be another factor.
All these things seem to point towards the reason why recently I have been relying so heavily on my dear morning coffees to give me some energy, which they don’t even do, they just pretend to; for five minutes I feel happy and excited and then I deflate like a punctured balloon.
So instead of writing several hundred words on how tired I am today, I’ll keep it simple and share three new ‘words of the day’ (courtesy of http://www.dictionary.com) because words are awesome:
CRUMP:
- to make a crunching sound, like walking over snow.
- to land and explode with a heavy, muffled sound (like an artillery shell).
- to crunch or make a crunching sound, as with the teeth, like eating an apple.
“My thick heavy boots crumped down into the powdery white snow as I hiked up the mountain.”
MOXIE:
- Slang. courage; nerve; determination.
- Slang. vigor; verve.
- Slang. skill; know-how.
“Annie showed great moxie by telling Jimbo to f**k off.”
OBLIVESCENCE:
- the process of forgetting.
“It’s funny how easily our dreams slip into obvliescence if we don’t write them down upon waking.”
It’s official, I’m a nerd. Yay!
Ciao darlings!
